PTPA: my friend had single entry visa(60 days) which he got last march 16. He didn't extend for another 1 month because of amnesty. Can he still extend his visa in immigration?

I apologize if this question was asked before.. Can't seem to find a related post. Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is asking if their friend, who has a single entry visa that was issued on March 16 and has not been extended due to amnesty, can still extend his visa at immigration. The responses indicate that it varies by individual and nationality, but suggest visiting the immigration office before the amnesty expires for a chance at extension, along with requirements for a tourist visa extension.

I understand some people have failed, but with that aside - for a tourist visa extension for general purposes (nothing specific e.g. medical reasons), is the application form + photograph + 1900THB all that would be required? I've heard horror stories of people being asked for photos of where they're staying and so on.. trying to make sure I have everything possible ready for the day in case they try to pull a fast one!

However, I recommend NOT getting an extension of stay based on being a tourist UNTIL new information is released by the government

To get a 30 day extension of stay based on being a tourist, you will need:

- Your passport, and a copy of:

a. Your data ("Picture") page

b. Your visa (if you have one)

c. Your last entry stamp

d. your departure card

-2 passport pictures

- 1,900 THB

I am here with my wife and two young children, one of whom is an infant. We all require the same process. Do you know if they need to come or can I apply on their behalf at Immigration?

Each person who needs an extension of stay must get their own extension of stay. However, there is no overstay penalties for people who are under the age of 13.

There are reports that some people have been able to get a 30 day extension from amnesty AND there are reports that some people have NOT been able to get a 30 day extension from amnesty

SO

All he can do is go out to the immigration office BEFORE amnesty ends and see if he can get the extension or not
