TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, your family can stay with you in Thailand on a DTV visa. Your wife and children need to apply for their own DTV visas as dependents. They will require documentation such as a marriage certificate, birth certificates, and a sponsor letter from you that demonstrates financial sufficiency (a bank account balance of at least 500,000 THB for each dependent). It’s important to note that while the visa is issued for 5 years, it is classified as a multi-entry tourist visa, and it doesn't imply continuous residency.
No, you have to apply for DTV for them with your Visa as supporting documents.

Its 5 years but they frankly don't expect us to stay here all the time, its not Temporary Residence but just a multi entry tourist visa

Yes - they just need to apply for dependant visa marriage certificate and birth certificate for them and a sponsor letter from you showing your financial requirements met - the sponsor letter with your funds of 500k thb will work

Please note.... ur bank account must reflect 500k per person.

BrilliantZebra7843 incorrect tell me how a child under 18 will have a bank account showing 500k THB and be able to prove source they earned that money. The primary DTV holder just shows their 500k THB and a sponsor letter saying they will provide all their financial needs
sorry but you wrong. I just entered with my wife and 2 children, my 3rd child from a different mother. The embassy requested both. Letter of sponsorship and proof of funds for all 5.

BrilliantZebra7843 You are wrong, it's different in every consulate. I've seen it done multiple times without issue. You just need to ask.
The official requirements don’t seem to mean much. They vary from embassy to embassy. For example, I only showed a one-month bank statement, even though it says everywhere that three months are required. The same applies to the extra funds needed in a bank account for children. I’ve seen cases where a sponsorship letter was all that was required for two children, even with only 500K in the account. All you need to do is ask around at different embassies if you’re looking for an easier route.
Bank statements are not a visa requirement, but just a way to prove the official visa requirement of 500k.
This requirement is for every applicant, it is up to the embassy how they want you to prove this.
The fact that some embassies don't ask for proof is something that indeed happens, not good in my opinion.

a Visa is same as the passport a personal item.
There is no family visa.
As shown above, wife and kids can apply for the DTV as dependent and YES, they all have to meet the requirements.

Half Correct,..the primary DTV visa holder can sponsor the dependent family members in their individual DTV applications... with one 500,000 bank account.
You mean that the sponsor does not have to show money, only a letter that I sponser my wife and two kids and even every body else wanting to have this visa?
the sponsor does need to show PROOF of the 500,000 Thai baht in any bank account. And meet the requirements for the DTV visa for dependents per Thai Embassy or Consulate where the dependent DTV Visa Application will be SUBMITTED.
we used sponsorship letters, one for each application for spouse and 2 children under 18. Used the same, just one 500k baht. This was half a year ago in Jakarta. So, requirements might have changed though.
The financial requirements apply individually to each applicant, and each family member must obtain their own DTV. There is no requirement for the funds to remain in the account after the visa has been issued…
