Hello,

I have a question.

I wanna visit thailand in november.

And just tried to get an toerist visa.

But the embassee here in the netherlands have only a spot end of november.

And i wanted to leave 1 november.

Normally you could go to the consul withoit appointment and apply for a toerist visa.

My queation is i can go by visa exemption thats 30 days and can extend it only one time but i need around 3 months.

Does anybody have an advice.

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user from the Netherlands is struggling to secure a tourist visa for Thailand, as the embassy only has appointments available at the end of November, while the user wishes to travel on November 1. They inquire about using the 30-day visa exemption, which can be extended once, but expresses a need for a stay of around 3 months. The comments provide advice on using the visa exemption and the possibility of applying for a COVID-related extension, although the uncertainty around this option is noted due to upcoming deadlines.

On visa exempt your only hope would be that the unable to travel due to covid extension of 60 days would still be available, currently it ends Nov 26th. Typically the standard 30 day extension is granted before the covid extension.

For getting a visa I always use the ‘Breda visa service’ you can ask them to help you. They always assist me very well.
Peter **************
No, that service is doing everything for you. Why don’t you phone them.

Nu twee weken eerder, haal mn vlucht, helemaal top. Je kan het altijd proberen.
Peter ***************
Gewoon heen

Met visa exempt
Peter ***************
Ja

Ik zit zelf ook wat omhoog

Bijna twee jaar onderweg nu

Ik hoop in december heen te gaan

@Peter ********
Jordi ********
@Peter **************
dan haal je de drie maanden niet

Thinking out of the box.

Do you have friends in neighbouring country that use the e visa and could you use there adress and fly from that country.

I have never filled out the e visa form so dont know exactly questions asked and EU is open borders
Will ************
@Michael *******
you would have to have proof of residency in the neighbouring country to do that route.
Michael ********
@Will ***********
not usually for tourist visas i have tourist visas from many different countries and i was never resident in any of them, also EU open borders
Will ************
Netherlands don't do E-visa I'm very suprised.
Michael ********
@Will ***********
yes was discussed yesterday and an admin checked the page its one of the few countries not using e visa

israel as well

Many embassies have changed to using the e-visa system where there is no need to either go to the embassy or send in your passport. Recent comments seem to indicate that the Dutch embassy hasn’t yet. If you apply for a visa exempt entry on your CofE you’d get 30 days on arrival and that can be extended once for 30 days. To get any further days you’d have to hope they are still selling the “unable to travel due to Covid” extension, but the end date for that is November 26th and no one knows if that would be extended.
Heiko **************
@Stuart ********
this e-visa also work for people who are already in Thailand ? Because I don’t wanna go every 3 month to the immigration for check. Would be perfect if there is a online system for that. 🙏🏻thx
Stuart *********
@Heiko *************
no. A visa only lets you enter the country.
David *********
From Netherlands you can come to Thailand for 30 days on visa exemption. After you can apply for extension
Roger ********
@David ********
can the extension be for 60 days?
David *********
@Roger *******
if I am correct you enter on 30 day visa exemption and in Thailand you apply for an additional 30 days.
