Hello beautiful ppl!

Me and my bf are currently in Indonesia and we were planning on coming to Thailand.

My question is can we come on a turist visa 60 days, or visa exemption, and stay longer. I know we can extend one time 30 days, but I’m curious if we can extend the stay based on the Covid situation and have every two months extension as it was before?

Thank you so much to everyone who took time to help us with some info regarding that! 🙏🏻😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about staying in Thailand longer than the standard 60-day tourist visa and possible extensions, referencing the impact of COVID-19 policies. Commenters noted that while a tourist visa can be extended for an additional 30 days, post-March 25, 2022, COVID-specific extensions may no longer be available, emphasizing the need for proper visas for longer stays and the difficulties due to closed land borders.

If you come now on 60 days TR then extend another 30 days, March 25 will be long past that 90 days. And Covid extensions may be over. Your max in Kingdom will be 90 days. What’s wrong with that??😏

i see, thank you.. also what’s wrong if we want to stay longer than 90 days😁we love Thailand. The problem is that land borders are not open and we can’t do a visa run…

From what has been published by immigration, the covid extensions have been seriously wound back and will remain available until 25 March but only for TR and visa exempt entries. All other visas now have to get proper visa or leave the country. In light of this I think it's safe to assume after 25 March there will be no more, so make your plans on proper visas if you wish to remain long term

Mark Nissel. It's completely different to how it was before. Non-immigrant visas can no longer get covid extension. We've already had one guy directed to leave within seven days. Whatever you wish to believe is fine, but it's been months since anyone has been "unable to return to their home country". Flights are in abundance now.

sounds exactly like it did 2 months ago and 2 months before that and 2 months before that . Bottom line. Anyone who thinks they have any clue what might be with covid in 2 months from now (remember how in last 2 months we had sandboxes then test and go then only one sandbox and now again test and go) is foolish.

Thanks, I’m familiar with the process of arrival. I just wanted to know if we can stay longer with Covid visa amnesty.
