TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires whether they can use their own travel insurance organized in their home country, in addition to Covid insurance, for visa purposes in Thailand. Responses clarify that any insurance policy from abroad is acceptable as long as the coverage is confirmed for Thailand, except for the Non-OA visa which requires insurance from approved Thai companies.

You can have any insurance policy issued in any country, but the letter from the insurance company you provide must specifically state that you are covered in Thailand.
Only the Non-OA visa requires an insurance policy issued by one of the approved long stay Thai companies.
As long as you're covered in Thailand that's all that matters. The letter you submit for your COE from the insurance company must state you're covered in Thailand.
