TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether the 500,000 THB deposited for their Thai DTV visa can be used towards purchasing a condo. Community responses indicate that once the DTV is issued, the funds can be used as desired, but caution is advised for potential future immigration processes that may request proof of the deposit for extensions.

you were free to use the 500,000 as soon as the DTV was issued. You need not to keep it in the account, unless you try to extend for further 180 days instead of doing a simple boder bounce. In this case if you try an exntension, Immigration might want to see the 500,000 THB deposit, again. Avoid such a situation

WhitePhoenix5046 not true, never happened. Join the DTV group and ask. Nobody has ever been asked for the funds when re-entering Thailand on a DTV

Ronnie Jasper it's a multi-entry visa so 180 days each entry for 5 years, not a one off 180 days
