TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about their son's ability to attend school in Thailand with a DTV dependent visa while he currently holds a TR visa, mentioning complications with the education visa process. Comments indicated that some international schools may allow attendance on a DTV visa, while others may only accept students on education visas. It was also noted that a TR visa could potentially be extended for an additional 30 days. Overall, it is advisable for the user to check directly with the school regarding their specific requirements.

My kids go to an international school on their dtv (they changed from an ED). I asked the school first and they said it was fine. I've heard that there are some schools that will only accept kids on an education visa, so I would check with your school just in case.

The dtv is far more efficient than an ed in my opinion.

You can get one 30 day extension on the TR visa or visa exempt entry stamp.
