Is it true that when applying for DTV as a Brit you only need to have had the 500k+ THB in your account for 1 month? And also to confirm I MUST 100% apply from my home country now, not a border run etc?
Thanks
Answer summary
The user inquired whether British applicants for a DTV visa need to maintain a balance of 500,000 THB for only one month and confirmed that they must apply from their home country instead of via a border run. Comments provided additional insights on visa requirements for those on Non-B visas, highlighting conditions related to Thai employees, necessary documentation, and the importance of consulting with an agent or accountant.

However, don’t assume the extension will automatically be rejected. The officer may look at the company’s overall documents, including:
* PND.1 for the relevant months
* Social Security records
* Thai employees’ employment dates
* Company financial statements
* Work permit
* Company registration/shareholder documents
* Whether the employees were actually employed during June
Since your visa expires Wednesday
I would not wait. Ask your accountant immediately:
1. Why were only 3 Thai employees filed on the June PND.1?
2. Was there a 4th Thai employee who was actually employed but accidentally omitted?
3. If it was an accounting mistake, can the June PND.1 be corrected/amended before your Immigration appointment?
4. Does the Social Security filing show 4 Thai employees for June?
