Can I apply for a 30-day extension on my visa exemption before my current visa starts on February 4th?
Hi! I arrived on an visa exemption - the date stamped in my passport is Feb 4th. If I go to get 30 day extension on Jan 29th, will the extension begin on Jan 29th? OR Will they allow me to begin the extension starting Feb 4th? I have a flight out on Mar 4th, so I need the extension to begin on Feb 4th.
Has anyone had this experience? Thanks in advance for any advise!

Answer summary
You can apply for a 30-day extension on your visa exemption before it officially starts on February 4th. According to community experience, the extension will be added to the end of your existing stay, so you won't lose any days by applying early.
