What do I need to prepare for a 30-day extension of my visa exempt stay in Thailand?

Hi all - with everything changing so rapidly I'm just hoping to get some clarity on a few things regarding 30 day extension:

I'm (UK passport) currently in Bangkok with my partner (Taiwan passport). We both have 60 day visa exempt stamps that run out 1st January. I have been in Thailand twice in 2025, once for two days in January and once for a week in April. She has only been here once for a week in April. All were visa exempt visits. We have never extended a stay or had a long stay here. However a little concerned about my previous two short visa exempt entries.

We want to extend our trip for 30 days to the end of January and have a couple of questions:

1-Is there anything other than passport + photocopy, TM30 and passport photos that we need to bring? Am I missing anything?

2 - For Bangkok is it still the Chaeng Watthana and can we still expect to be there all day? The last time I did a visa extension was before covid and I remember the queues being absurd.

Thanks in advance for your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK passport holder in Bangkok with a 60-day visa exempt stamp wants to extend their stay for 30 days and is seeking clarity about the necessary documents and procedures. They and their partner, a Taiwan passport holder, have only visited Thailand visa-exempt previously. Key questions include required documents for the extension and information about the immigration office in Bangkok. Comments confirm that essential requirements are a TM30 form, passport, passport-sized photo, and suggest that they visit the IT Square Laksi Plaza rather than the main Chaeng Watthana office for their extension.

Don' leave it until very late to get your extension as it is added to your permitted to stay date and you don't want to go too close to the New Year holiday unless it's with an appointment then you have to hope you got everything 100% correct

You shouldn't have an issue getting a 30 day extension on your visa exempt entry stamps

You definitely need TM30 showing you're registered at an address in Bangkok, your passport, a passport sized photo. The forms are at the immigration office that you need to fill out and there are copy/photo shops next to the location

For extensions on 60 day visa exempt entry stamps you DO NOT go to the main immigration office at the government complex on Chaengwattana Road.

You go to the IT Square Laksi Plaza immigration office on the 3rd floor.. You can make an appt to show up and be served at this website
