Hi... seeking for advice.

I have a work permit valid until 1st March 22. And my non b visa extension expired on 1st May 22. For some reason i decided not to continue work at that company anymore after 1st March and i wish to further my stay here possibly with my marriage visa (with local thai which i got marriage few months back) instead. Is that possible and whats the steps?

Thanks so much ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on changing their visa status from a non-B visa to a marriage visa after their work permit has expired. A commenter advises that the user should cancel their work permit with employer documentation, then cancel their current visa extension and apply for a marriage extension, ensuring they meet financial requirements. The process involves changing the basis of the extension, not acquiring a new visa.

You would get documentation from your employer go cancel your work permit then go to the immigration office and cancel your current extension of stay with termination paperwork from your employer AND then immediately apply for a new yearly extension based on marriage to a thai by showing you meet the proof of funds (400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply) and turning in the required documents, photos, copies, bank letters, etc.

GO to your immigration office with your thai wife and and get the hand out listing the requirements to get a marriage extension.

You're NOT getting any new VISA ๐Ÿ˜ฎ all you are doing is changing the reason for your extension from one based on employment to one based on marriage to a thai. People do it all the time
