Can I still extend my non-B visa after overstaying in Thailand?

Hello. I am employed by a private company in Bangkok. Philippine Passport Holder. I had a 3-month non-b visa and I already have my work permit. However, I wasn't able to obtain all the necessary documents from my company to extend my non-b visa to 1 year. They are still trying to complete the documents right now, and I am currently overstaying (visa expired 30-October). Question: How many days do I have to still be able to extend my non-b visa? I understand that I have to pay 500 THB per day for overstaying but can I still extend my non-b visa or do I have to obtain a new non-b visa because I overstayed?

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is currently overstaying their non-B visa due to incomplete documentation from their employer for a one-year extension. They are inquiring about the possibility of extending their visa despite the overstay or if they need to apply for a new non-B visa. Responses indicate that while it's uncertain how long the immigration will allow the overstay, it's advisable to either expedite the documentation process or leave the country to apply for a new visa to avoid complications.

The Kl embassy provides a helpful document list for B visa applications. Importantly have you original Work permit with you as well as a copy which you have signed and your contract which should show your employment for a further 90+ days.

Hi. I am planning to process my non-b visa in Penang as suggested in this thread. When I did some reading, "managing director" is the position they require stated on the Wp. Is it just for multiple entry non-b? Can someone please help me with a checklist. I am having trouble finding the link. Thank you very much.

you will only get a 90 day single entry Non-B in Penang unless your position is managing director and you own more than 20% of the stock of the company.

You can also leave the country and get another 90 day non-b as you have a work permit (not Vientiane)

This could be easier and there will be plenty of time to obtain paperwork for extension

I think that would be preferable than overstaying as that could cause unwanted issues

One more thing, I processed my non-b visa in Savannakhet. Now that I am currently overstaying, will this be an issue if I get my new non-b in Savannakhet?

Can I just use the work permit to get a non-b outside the country? Or I need the whole set of documents same as those I prepared before?

Great point (y). because they already HAVE a work permit they could get new documentation from the company and just go get a new 90 day single entry Non-B

You need to have your employer CALL and find out how long they're gonna let you overstay at immigrations and still allow you to get your extension.

I'd be it's a week or two at the most, BUT that's just a guess.

at some point they're NOT gonna let you just pay the overstay and then get the extension. and instead they're gonna charge you for the overstay and send you out of the country to start over.
