Hi everyone, I am on 90 days non B visa and left with few days for it to expire. The school is in the process of getting the temporary teaching permit and it was difficult for them to acquire it as it was their first time to hire a foreign teacher. Is it possible for us to ask the immigration to extend the days for us ,so that we have enough time for permit processing.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user currently holds a 90-day Non-B visa and is seeking advice on obtaining a visa extension due to their school's difficulties in acquiring a temporary teaching permit. Users in the comments suggest that the school had ample time to complete the necessary paperwork and may not qualify for an extension. Alternatives such as obtaining a new Non-B visa or doing a border bounce for a 30-day stamp are discussed, emphasizing the need for proper visa status and work permits before working legally.

Thanks for the information

Looks like you need a new non b in order to eventually convert to extension. Where you get that non b is your real question

Assuming you are from one of the countries that is eligible for a visa exempt entry stamp, seems like you’ll need to do a border bounce to get a 30 day stamp while they sort out your paperwork.

she won't be able to work on a visa exempt entry. More likely she'll have to apply for a new non-B outside of Thailand and hope the school pulls their finger out second time round.

, if she doesn’t have WorkPermit, she cannot work anyway even on Non-B visa.

- Plus a new entry date and new stamp would make the original paperwork inaccurate. Not a good idea to have contradicting dates on the docs.

Sorry, but the school had 90 days to sort out the paperwork. You have no valid reason for an extension, you may have to start all over again. BUT - are you married or have a Thai child? That would enable you to get a 60 day visit family extension.

it was out of my control and the fact that it's their first time and ignorant they didn't take this as a priority
