Hello visa experts! I am confused with the visa situation lately and I was wondering if anyone here has some advice in regards to my case. I have a 1 year non-b visa that will expire April 24 . My work permit is expired and I am in the process of renewing it. Should be done this coming week. Since I am unable to go outside the country and apply for a new visa , what are my current options ? If anyone is in a similar situation or has any idea of what the thai authorities have decided in regards visa renewals, I would greatly appreciate some input. Thank you !

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on renewing their non-B visa amidst an expired work permit, with the expiration date approaching. Comments suggest options include applying for a 1-year Extension of Stay at the local immigration office or obtaining a letter from the embassy if employer requirements are not met.

If your employer can not meet the requirements, you can apply for the letter from your Embassy and use that to apply for an Extension of Stay based on Embassy request until you find a flight out of here

I am my own employer and have a 2 work permit company. I have a “lawyer” handling the documents however I don’t have full trust she is aware of the current legislation.

No changes, you apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay at your local Immigration Office,
