Hello and thank you for the add. I plan to move to Thailand and I wanted to stay for a year. Could you tell me the process of getting a visa, when to reapply foronger stay and which one I would need?

It’s not easy to move to Thailand for people below 50 years or not married to a thai. It could be some option regarding studies and work, but basically your option is to buy a Elite visa if you wants to live or stay longer periods. For up to one year you could at least get a six months multiple entries tourist visa METV. Used the right way it gives you possibility for to stay up to nine months if you do a couple of boarder crossings. For the last three months you might be able to do a visa run an get a single tourist visa which gives you 60+30 days or two boarder bounces which could give you visa exemption for 30+30 and 30 days. You’ll probably need an agent to transport you and help you with the last part. METV you’ll need to apply for at the Thai Embassy at home.
