Hi all, I'm returning to Thailand and want to stay for 90 days, so am I right to get a 90 day visa from the UK use my 60 days and then re-apply for a following 30 days. I think I can apply at blue trees office near Laguna. Am I right?

Many thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on whether they can obtain a 90-day stay in Thailand by entering on a 60-day tourist visa and then applying for a 30-day extension. Comments confirm that this is possible, as tourists receive 60 days upon arrival and can extend for an additional 30 days at a local immigration office, including a specific mention of the Blue Tree office near Laguna. There is also a discussion about the implications of having a return ticket that is later than the initial visa duration, and opinions indicate that immigration rarely questions such arrangements unless there's a significant history of previous entries.

Immigration will rarely question you unless you have an extensive history of previous entries.

The hang up may be with your airline. They may insist on an onward ticket within the number of days your entry allows. Some won’t care some will.

Your last day of the first visa is the same day as the first day of your second visa

An extension of stay adds the set number of days to your current exit stamp date

A tourist visa will give you 60 days on arrival and you can apply one time for a 30 day extension at your local immigration office

most offices allow you to go when you have 30 days or less left. Some allow 45 days or less (Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, and some others) and a couple only allow you to apply during your final week (Samui, Jomtien)

yes, also BLUPORT in Hua Hin suggest 'don't bother us until you have a week left' but I think that's more a resource management thing, than a policy.

any office that says this still doesn't make sense though because it'll be the same number of people coming regardless of when they come
