TLDR : Answer Summary
You can return to the UK for up to 6 months while holding a Non-O visa with a 12-month extension, but it is crucial to obtain a re-entry permit before leaving Thailand. This permit ensures your visa remains valid upon your return. Single re-entry permits cost 1000 baht, while multiple re-entry permits are 3800 baht and can be purchased at the immigration office or airport.

yes can. No problem at all but make sure to have re entry permit before leaving Thailand. If you leave thailand without this then your visa will be finish

Just to add to Tod's response, you must be back in Thailand in time to apply for your next extension, so don't leave it until the week your current extension expires (apologies if this is obvious).

No problem at all, buy a re-entry permit (either a single re-entry for 1000baht or a multiple re-entry for 3800 baht) at the immigration office where you got your extension issued OR at the airport before you fly out

you can then exit the country and when you come back you'll get stamped in until your current extension expires.

If I got the multi entry 12 month extension, do i need to get a re-entry permit?
Tod *********
This is a re-entry permit stamp

I have the re-entry permit stamp with the number of entries ‘multiple’

@Steve ******
there you go then 🙂 you're set (y)

as long as it's valid (which it will be until your current extension expires) you can exit/re-enter the country all you want during that time and you'll get stamped back in for the expiration date you have now on your current extension of stay stamp

this is a yearly extension of stay stamp based on retirement

@Steve ******
there is no such thing as a multi-entry 12 month extension

extensions INSIDE thailand are sold without any re-entry permit <- because you're already IN thailand when you get it

re-entry permits are sold separate,

You might have gotten a 12 month extension and THEN a multiple re-entry permit but they are two completely different stamps
