Hi gang ,

  Just applied for 1yr extension based on marriage ( thanks to this group).

  Im aware if i recieve visa next month im to do 90 day reports.

  I was wondering what happens at the end of the year visa , can i extend without leaving the country ?

  I was told to keep an exact copy of my application for if and when  i renew, so im under the impression i can renew without leaving but not sure.

  Its probably to early to say , curious if anyone has done this recently. 

  Hope im making sense.

if you want to leave the country, buy a Re-Entry Permit and on return, fill in the Re-Entry Permit number as visa number and you get the same date as mentioned in the big stamp as permitted up to date.

yes, as long as you meet all the requirements you can during the last 30 days apply for a new 1 year Extension of Stay.

Fun part is that half of our members will say, it all depends on Immigration Officers and Immigration law change on daily basis and the other half, like me will say, I applied for 10 years, each and every year using the same set of requirements. Made new copies each year to be sure they are updated.

There are a few Immigration Offices, like CW, Phuket, Buriram, Chang Mai who allow 45 days, but if I say 30 days I cover all of the 70 offices.
