Greetings All

Am I correct that for the renewal of extention of stay based on marriage simply requires b400k in my bank for 3 months prior to anniversary date? And that it is not required to show it coming from foreign transfer?

I had an attempted hack with another account so I transferred the 400k to a new account.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To renew an extension of stay based on marriage in Thailand, the requirement is to have 400,000 THB in a bank account for at least two months prior to the anniversary date. It is not necessary to prove that the funds came from a foreign transfer.

2 months prior is the rule. The office you use may have other ideas. No need to show coming from overseas for banked 400k.

. Should also mention that it needs to stay 400k minimum until the consideration period is over. Changwattana (Bangkok) is 21 days now previously 30 . Once the extension is stamped into your passport, you can do what you like with the money.

I don’t believe every office has that rule. Many do. Just going by posts I see on here.

. Yep. True.. thats why I stated Changwatanna.

As an aside it’s two months prior to applying. Not two months before your current extension expires.
