Good afternoon everyone! I have a question. My retirement visa will expire in early July, and my passport will expire on late September. If I renew my visa first and then renew my passport, is it ok for me to just use these two passports to travel in Thailand or even outside Thailand? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The general consensus among the community is that renewing your retirement visa before renewing your passport may lead to limitations. Specifically, if your passport is not valid for a year when you apply for an extension, your visa extension will only be valid until the passport's expiration date. It is advisable to renew your passport first to ensure a full year's extension on your retirement visa.

Nope that's not gonna work out if you're talking about a year extension at the immigration office inside thailand
IF you apply for a new yearly extension at the immigration office but you have a passport that isn't valid for a whole year you ONLY get the extension for the validity of the passport ๐ฎ
So in your case if you have an extension that runs out in July and a passport that runs out in Sept, you'd get an extension until Sept
SO what you'd do is renew your passport NOW, go to the immigration office and get the stamps transferred and then apply for your new extension in July so you can get a whole year extension on the new passport
