Is it possible to extend a visa exempt stamp by 30 days and then apply for a 7-day extension in Thailand?

Hoping for some help please. I have searched the group and can't find a specific answer.

Arrived here on a visa exempt stamp for 30days (expires 25th Sept), and then hope to get an extension for 30days. After this I hope to do the 7 day extension as my flight out of Thailand is 1st November.

Is this allowed? Extension on extension?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A visa exempt stamp for 30 days can be extended once by 30 days, allowing a total stay of up to 60 days. After this 30-day extension, there is also a 7-day exit stamp available for those needing additional time to leave Thailand. However, the 7-day stamp is not an extension but an allowance for departure, costing 1900 baht. It's advised to apply for the 7-day exit stamp just before the 30-day extension expires to avoid losing any days.

nope, that stamp will not in any way shape or form affect your future ability to get visas or enter thailand. You can only extend a 30 day visa exempt or tourist visa entry ONCE for 30 days. The only thing available to you after that is the extension denied 7 day stamp to "get out of dodge". You'll be fine.

BUT

Remember, while the 30 day extension stamp is ADDED to your current expiration date when you get it, the 7 day stamp starts from the date you apply for it. SO wait until your 30 day extension is running out before getting it so you don't lose any days left on your extension.

remember the 7 day stamp to get out of thailand ISN'T an extension, it's an "application for extension of stay denied" stamp that gives you 7 days to leave the country and it costs 1900baht. You shouldn't have a problem getting it though.

Todd will that 7 day stamp reflect badly down the track in my passport, as I do plan on coming back to Thailand end of November?
