What’s the point of getting a one year retirement visa extension for 14000 baht if you have to still show the 800,000 you might as well just get a new visa and 1900 baht.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is questioning the value of obtaining a one-year retirement visa extension for 14,000 baht, given that the same financial requirement of holding 800,000 baht applies as it does for a new visa, which costs only 1,900 baht.
