I'm a Singaporean currently on Visa O-A which will expire on 2 August 2023. I do not wish to extend the Visa because I have decided to live in Taiwan for a year.

My questions are:

1. Can I leave Thailand on 4 August 2023, 2 days after Visa expired?

2. Do I need to cancel the Visa at Bangkok Immigration?

3. Can I apply for a new Visa OA a year later in Singapore?

Thank you in advance for your advise.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Singaporean holding a Visa O-A expiring on August 2, 2023, is inquiring about the consequences of leaving Thailand two days post-expiration, whether visa cancellation is necessary, and the possibility of applying for a new Visa O-A a year later from Singapore.

So you purchased a 1 year multiple entry OA visa from the Thai embassy in Singapore?

I just want to confirm this is the case and you're not on a 1 year extension of stay you applies for from your immigration office?

What does the stamp in your passport say? Extension of stay? Or is the last stamp you received from the airport?

okay then you're not on an OA visa anymore you're on an extension of stay. That means you cannot stay after the end date or you'll be on overstay status.

You don't need to cancel anything before leaving.

You shouldn't have any problem getting a new OA visa in the future.

I arrived in Thailand on 2 Aug 2021 with multiple OA visa from Singapore. I did my extension of stay in Aug 2022 for a year from Bangkok immigration.
