TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is considering obtaining a 60-day visa in New Zealand and is exploring options for extending their stay in Thailand beyond that period without resorting to a border run. They mention having sufficient savings but lack proof of income, and are uncertain about the availability of STV visa forms. Community members suggest applying for a non-O retirement visa before departure for a more straightforward solution.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
  • Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.

I believe the STV and TR visa form is the same. It is in Canada anyways.

Why not just get a non-O visa (retirement) before leaving and be done with it?
