Can I extend my visa on January 2nd after my 60 days expire on January 1st, or have I overstayed?

My 60 days expires on Jan 1st.

I was on my way to extend for 30 days but office closed from the 28th till the 2nd.

Is it possible to extend on the 2nd or have I already overstayed? If I have, what are my options right now?! Ty

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about their visa expiring on January 1st and whether they can extend it on January 2nd, given that the immigration office is closed from December 28th to January 2nd. Comments suggest that if they go to the office on the 2nd, they might receive an overstay waiver due to the holiday, but they should expect long lines. It is recommended to apply for extensions earlier in the future, ideally when 30 days or less remain on their visa.

You can go on the 2nd. Expect it to be very, very busy. Go early and wait in line for the day. You'll get a stamp in your passport that says overstay waived due to holiday, but only if you go on the first day they are open again.

In the future you should not wait until the last minute to apply for an extension. At most immigration offices you can apply when you have 30 days or less left, and some allow you to apply when you have 45 days or less left.
