TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of extending their visa on January 31st after it expires on January 30th, noting that the immigration office is closed on Sundays. Comments suggest that it's best to visit immigration before the expiration date to avoid potential overstay issues, while also emphasizing that the visa type and actual expiration details are important to consider.

You should go before if possible, you won't lose any time and will avoid an overstay stamp, although you won't be fined

What visa are you currently on? The date on the visa sticker/ eVisa is almost always different then your "admitted to" stamp.

You are on a 30 day visa exempt. You will need to get a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism. There is no advantage in waiting until the last day to get this extension of stay, because it is added on to your existing "admitted to" stamp.

Hi
@Benjamin *****
I am on a 30 day tourist visa(I think)

"I had a 60 day visa when I came in November" confusing

Here's what happened:

1. On November 23rd, 2021, the poster entered Thailand on a 60 day single entry tourist visa. I knew they entered on a single entry tourist visa because the visa is stamped "TR". A single entry tourist is voided on entry. They could stay until January 21, 2022.

2. On December 6, 2021, the poster left Thailand.

3. On January 1, 2022, the poster returned to Thailand on a visa exempt. I know they entered on a visa exempt because of the ผ symbol next to the entry date. On a visa exempt, a person could stay for 29 days. They could stay until January 30, 2022.

No, I had a 60 day visa when I came in November, but was only a single trip one so the immigration at the airport only granted me a 30 day one.

Did you add your visa number to the TM6 entry card and point it out to the officer. You should have got stamped in for 60d

She did not have a reentry permit.
