Hello I arrived on the 1st of December 2019. I went to immigration at Blue port Hua Hin today to extend another 30 days. They are now closed until the 2nd of January. Will I be able to get the 30 day extension on the 2nd or will I get in trouble for going after my 30 days. I checked on line last week about the opening time. Nothing was mentioned about being closed from the 28th to the 2nd. I am worried now I’ll get in trouble. Any advice would be appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user arrived in Thailand on December 1, 2019, and needs to extend their visa, but the immigration office is closed until January 2, 2020. They are concerned about the legal implications of going past their visa expiration date.

IF you arrived on the 1st of December without any visa, you may have a 30 day Visa Exempt Entry with in the stamp Admitted until 1 Jan 2020. You say you got an Extension of Stay for another 30 days, this means you must have now a big stamp with the first and second line:

Hua Hin Immigration Office

Extension of Stay is permited up to ../../.. This must be somewhere near 30 Jan 2020.

Tod Daniels posted this earlier Okay, BEFORE people start panicking, IF your current stamp expires on a day the immigration office is closed (weekends OR holidays) AND you go the very FIRST day they reopen (which in this case will be the 2nd of January) you will NOT be fined for overstay and you can get your extension like normal.

Good Luck to all, have a safe and happy new year

Yes, I do, or yes i don't? IF the Admitted until date is at the days the Immigration Office is closed, you can visit the first working day and apply for an Extension of Stay. You might get the stamp overstay but no fines.

You can only get once a 30 day Extension of Stay based on a Visa Exempt Entry. You must leave the county and come back with a visa or using a visa exempt entry again if you like to stay short time
