Advice please. My friend is on a one year extension based on marriage to a Thai which finishes mid July. He is not sure if he will have time to season the 400k for the required two months. Can he “extend” the extension until the money is seasoned?

Many thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on extending a one-year marriage extension in Thailand due to concerns about seasoning the required 400,000 THB for two months before the extension expires in July. Responses suggest that he can request a 60-day extension based on family visits, though approval depends on the local Immigration Office in Samut Prakan.

Your friend has good advice to go get the 60 day family visit extension.

That all depends on the Immigration Office which your friend use.

He can ask for the 60 day Extension of Stay based on visiting his family, some immigration offices issue them on each entry others only once during the visa and following extensions.

Will he have a problem because the 400k from the extension last year should have been left in the bank?

If the rules are followed seasoning for the following year is a non-issue, the money should have been there all year.
