TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about extending their O-A visa in Thailand, which is set to expire in September, based on their marriage to a Thai citizen. Comments suggest that to extend the visa, the user would need to apply for a 1-year extension and should clarify whether this is their first year on the O-A visa.

You have to apply for a 1-year extension for the same reason as your Non-Immigrant entry stamp. You can change the reason for 1-year extension for the next extension (once one 1 year extension passes).

Is this your first year of having the OA Visa?

What are the dates shown on the OA visa when it was first issued ?

Was the OA visa first issued in September 2021?

as you are still in the first year of the OA visa...

IF you LEAVE THAILAND and return to Thailand you will be stamped in for One additional year.

All that you need to get it is the OA Insurance policy for another year.

A border run to Laos, Cambodia or Malaysia will get you the re-entry needed to get the Extra year extension of the OA visa.

During the second year...if you wish to leave Thailand and return... you will need a re-entry permit... cost of 1,000 Thai baht per re-entry permit.
