Hey guys. I have a 1 yr O-A visa. Before it expires, what options do I have? Can I extend 1 year without going thru the application process again? Can I apply for the 10 year visa provided I have the funds in an an account?

TLDR : Answer Summary
You have several options before your 1-year O-A visa expires. You can extend it by obtaining a new year's mandatory healthcare coverage and re-entering Thailand for a new entry stamp before your current visa expires. Alternatively, you can apply for the 10-year OX visa or consider the Long Term Residence (LTR) visa, specifically for wealthy pensioners, which is offered through the Board of Investment (BOI) in Thailand.

Another option would be for you to look into the LTR (Long Term Residence) Visa for "wealthy pensioners"..
It's offered by the BOI (Board of Investment)
I know many many people who were on O's OA who switched over to this 10 year LTR visa
here's the website for it

You can get a new year of the mandatory 100K USD insurance print out the coverage dates and then BEFORE your OA visa itself expires you can bounce out of thailand and back in to get a new year entry stamp (or as long as your insurance is valid for up to a year).
You might as well get all the time out of the OA you have now before you switch to something else
Now as far as can you apply for the 10 year OX visa, you can but you do that in your country like you did for the OA visa you have.
yep, border bounce can be done by land OR air and you can even stay out of the country a few days, the real thing is the only reason you're exiting is so you can re-enter on a new free entry stamp or to activate a new entry on a multi entry visa
