What should I do with my Non-B visa that expires soon and my work permit renewal is in progress?

Oh my. Just reading the comments re Non B. Ok I have a non B that expires in November. Obviously not been on any border bounces. My business advisor is renewing my work permit at the moment. They have not given me helpful advice and so I’m wondering if I have to get a stamp in my passport from immigration or leave the country ( I’m UK resident ) as my only border bounce option. I realise I’ve run out of time almost. Apologies if this is the dimmest question but I really don’t know what I’m meant to do.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the next steps to take for their Non-B visa that expires in November, while their work permit is being renewed. They expressed concern about not receiving helpful advice from their business advisor and were unsure if they needed to get a new stamp from immigration or leave the country. Comments suggested obtaining a letter from the embassy for a 30-day extension or checking if they can meet the immigration requirements for a yearly extension with their employer.

Or, a medical certificate stating that you can't leave.

that would work too :)

IF you can't meet the requirements to get a year extension based on employment at the immigration office your ONLY option is to get an embassy letter and ask for a 30 day extension based on that letter.

You need to go to the immigration office with your employer and see if you can meet the requirements for the year extension.

Sadly
@Jo**
that does not change my advice

IF you can't meet the requirements for an in country yearly extension of stay based on employment your only option is to get a letter from your embassy and ask for a 30 day embassy request extension.

SO I'd say get to the immigration office and get the requirements for the yearly extension based on employment and see if you meet them BEFORE Saturday <- the day amnesty runs out.

OR

Get the letter from your embassy, apply for the 30 day embassy request extension to buy you time to get your documents together so you can apply for the year extension from that

OR

as immigration stated in this current amnesty "prepare to depart" on or by the 26th
