Hello everyone!

Does anyone know if there is a possibility to extent NON-B VISA FOR 30 Days (same like you can extend touristic visa)?

I know that if you change the school and your previous "boss" will agree to use visa which was dedicated to his school, than you don't need to go abroad to apply for new Non - B, just extend the one that you have with your new working place. That is what I was about do do.

Unfortunately My current visa will expire on 31st March, I found a new job, but the documents are not ready. So before 31st March I'll have to do the border run and then start the procedure again with a new school.

Or maybe there is another way? If anyone has some ideas or experience like this, please share with me.

Thank you in advance. :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the possibility of extending their NON-B visa for an additional 30 days, similar to a tourist visa extension, as their current visa was set to expire soon. They explained their situation about needing to switch schools and the delay in receiving necessary documents for their new job. Commenters confirmed that an extension is not possible beyond the standard procedures, and noted that they would need to perform a border run to obtain a new visa if documents are not ready in time.

I have Non b, extended last year, because I renewed contract with the same school. It will expire on 31st March. Now I'm going to change my working place. But the doc - not ready. I just called to my immigration office, and they confirmed that if the new school can not proceed my documents within this week, the only way for me is to do do the border run.
@Karma *****
- does your imagination can extend your Non B for 7 days?

unfortunately asking about whether you can drive your car into myanmar isn't a thai VISA question. I'd say google is your friend...

Thanks for your comments. So this weekend I'll have to go to Laos or maybe Myanmar.

I see you have more experience - do you know about going to Myanmar by my own car. I have a car passport. Is it possible? Maybe just need to by some insurance?

If you have an Extension of Stay based on working be aware you have to cancel this before leaving the country.

the 7 days is NOT an Extension of Stay. It really means your application is NOT approved and you have 7 days to leave the country. You can not walk in Immigration at the end of these 7 days and apply for a new 1 year Extension of Stay based on working.

Exactly in the same situation here. I decided to go to lao this week. I asked immigration in my province. They said they can extend only 7 days and i have to do a border run anyways coz my new school has no docs ready (like u). So i hv to opt for a two month tourist visa via a border run ...

One more problem is my school wont give me my wp can letter until friday.. I hit nearby country on 29th and its already friday.. The point is 31 is sun and i will able to submit docs only on monday... I wonder if i will be charged a one day over stay...

No, you can only apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay with all the requirements in order. Are you on the actual 90 days of the visa or do you already have an Extension of Stay from immigration office?
