I'm due to extend my non immigration O based on Thai children mid September. Normally I have met the financial requirements by way of foreign income and an affidavit from my Embassy. Unfortunately having discovered this is no longer possible, it seems I will need to go down the 400 K thb in Thai bank account route.
The issue of seasoning the 400 K seems to very much be a grey area. I've read that some applicants have been required to season for 2 months, and others 3 months. The police order referred to in many posts is silent on the matter.
Question: Has anyone has successfully applied for an extension based upon Thai children at Chaengwattana with no seasoning of funds (400k thb)? What are my chances of successfully challenging an arbitrary seasoning requirement by referring back to the police order? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on extending their Non-Immigrant O visa based on having Thai children. They face challenges with meeting the financial requirements due to new regulations regarding proof of income, necessitating the use of 400,000 THB in a Thai bank account. There is confusion regarding the 'seasoning' period for these funds, with varying reports of 2 to 3 months, and the user is looking for experiences or advice on successfully applying for the extension without having to season the funds.
Officially there is no seasoning required for the 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name to get a yearly extension based on raising half thai children.
I think your best bet is to make the slog out to Chaengwattana and either ask the head officer in Section L (the section that gives extensions like that) OR get the hand out from them that lists the requirements based on raising half thai children.
