TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can apply for a 60-day family visit extension at your local Thai Immigration office for a fee of 1,900 baht, provided you meet the necessary requirements such as presenting a marriage certificate. Some officers may prefer a recent marriage registry printout. It is also noted that some immigration officers may advise against frequent extensions, suggesting a shift to a one-year extension in the future.

I did a 60-day extension based on family visit (Thai wife as was with me) on 21 January at Immigrations in Udon Thani. Before that on same day my wife went to the local Amphur and picked up a fresh Kor Ror 22 marriage registry printout for a cost of 20 Baht as this is one of the documents required when to do a 60-day extension.
However the immigration officer advised quite firmly that he don’t want me to come for apply for 60-day extensions anymore! (I did my previous 60-day extension in March 2025). The immigration officer advised me to do 1-year extensions only in the future.
I had originally planned to apply for a 1-year extension of stay based on that I arrived to Thailand with an Non O E-visa based on married with a Thai women this time. But after reading this and other forums and also talked with people. I have changed my mind and I will next time before travel to Thailand apply for a Non O E-visa based on Retirement instead. Then apply for a 1-year extension based on retirement with + 800.000 Baht on one of my Thai bank accounts.
the posters shows "marriage certificate" which would mean that the rose bordered marriage certificate is seen as sufficient proof. However I would not guarantee that this works on every Immigration. Many office instead want to see the fresh marriage registry printout
Possibly one of our Moderators can post a better graphic attachment for the Family Visit Extension requirements. For whatever reason mine is not a full picture.
