Hello!

My husband and i have a 60 day visa single entry tourist visa and we would like to stay for 30 more days. Can we easily extend our visa for 30 more days in an immigration office or do you have to do a border run?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can extend your 60-day single entry tourist visa by 30 days at your local immigration office in Thailand. The extension will cost 1,900 THB per person, and both you and your husband need to be present. You can apply for the extension up to 30 days before your current visa expires, so a border run is not necessary.

No border run needed.

You have good advice from many postings above.

Good luck.

If Dinteloord is correct and you have a Dutch passport, I agree with above answers. Not every passport holding 60 day tourist visa can get 30 days Extension of Stay.

Yep, go to your local immigration office. It'll cost 1,900 THB for each person. Both of you must go together.

You don't need to wait for the last day either, I think most immigration offices allow you to extend up to 30 or more days ahead.

but not at Jomtien/Pattaya Immigration. Extensions only granted in last three days of your permission to stay.
