My wife (Thai national) and I arrived a few days ago. I just got the 30 day visa on arrival.

If I wanted to stay on another month have I got an option to do so? I was reading on some forum that the 30 day visa on arrival can only be extented for a further 7 days theses days is this true?

Thanks πŸ™‚

They received clarification from the community that the extension is indeed possible and varies based on the passport held. may I suggest sticking to the 30 day extension first because if you want to extend again, you can the get the family 60 after the 30 but not the other way around. I'm sure

will confirm this or delete me if I'm wrong lol

Since all extensions cost the same, may as well go for the 60 day β€œvisit family” one as Lloyd suggested in case you decide to stay a little longer.

You are confusing the terminology that that's what running you off the rails πŸ˜•

IF you showed up and were stamped in FREE for 30 days without having bought a visa from a thai consulate before hand you entered as Lloyd said on a 30 day visa exempt entry AND you can extend that as he said you could.

What you're confusing your entry with is the fact that people from 18 countries BUY a Visa On Arrival for 2000baht when they show up here and get stamped in for 15 days. <- They can't get the 30 day extension only the 7 day one πŸ˜‰

That can be extended for 30 days normally, but as you have a Thai wife, you could get a 60 day "visit family" extension.

Guessing you actually came on a visa exempt entry
