Hi, question.

Came on a visa on arrival for 30 days.

Can I still extend for 6 months? How much would it cost.

Or should I go outside the country and apply for 3 months tourist visa?

Thanks guys

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user arrived in Thailand on a visa on arrival for 30 days and is inquiring about the possibility of extending it for 6 months. However, responses indicate that the visa on arrival can be extended once for an additional 30 days only. For a longer stay, the user could leave the country and apply for a 60-day tourist visa, which can also be extended for another 30 days.

Thanks Stuart, if anyone knows, feel free ;)

You came in visa exempt. Visa on arrival is a different thing. That said you can extend once for a further 30 days. There is no three month tourist visa. You can get one that gives you 60 days and then extend that once to get another 30 days.

what's the difference from visa exempt and visa on arrival?

@Paul ******
visa on arrival is where citizens from 13 countries (India, China amongst others) pay for a visa when they arrive. They are stamped in for 15 days.

Visa exempt is for citizens of 63 countries (most western countries) where they arrive with no visa and are stamped in for free for 30 days.

since visa exempt is limit at 30 days, can we make an extension for another 30 days?

after you get your 30 day extension you can try for the " covid extension " which is 60 days. Last date to apply is 24th July at the moment.

You can get a multiple entry tourist visa that is valid for 6 months and you get stamped in for 60 days (extendable each time for 30 days). Not sure which neighbouring countries embassies/consulates are selling those though.

STV Special Tourist Visa have 3 Months (90 Days) but must prepared online

Yes but the OP sort of inferred that heโ€™d visit a neighbouring country. STV is only available from your home country, so not an option for border bounces.
