TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is on a TR visa, which typically allows a 60-day stay plus an optional 30-day extension. However, there is confusion as comments indicate that the poster may have actually entered Thailand under a visa exemption for 30 days, which can be extended only once for an additional 30 days at a local immigration office. The discussion highlights the importance of knowing the type of visa held for accurate extension options.

no but I hear now you get 45 days instead of 30 on arrival assuming you are visa exempt but double check to make sure.

You’re not on a TR visa for 30 days. My guess is you entered with no visa and got 30 days visa exempt.

You can extend that ONCE at a local immigration office for a further 30 days.
