If I was to get a 45 day visa on arrival, just wondering if it's possible to extend that for another 30 days? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about extending a 45-day visa exempt on arrival in Thailand for an additional 30 days. Comments confirm that it is possible to extend the visa-exempt stay by 30 days, although one commenter clarifies that it is not technically a visa on arrival. There is also a cautionary note about the reliability of information from consulates or immigration offices regarding visa extensions.

Just a reminder for everyone:

NEVER EVER trust what a consulate/embassy says about extension of stays that you purchase at an immigration office

NEVER EVER trust what an immigration office says about getting a visa outside of Thailand.

They are run by TWO COMPLETELY different departments that do not communicate with each other.

I don’t think there’s any point in keeping this post open. If anyone disagrees, please message a mod and we’ll reopen it.

It's not a visa on arrival. It's a visa-exempt.
