Dtv is a visa tourist category then after 6 months can i get family visit extension 60 days or not?If you have tourist visa 60 days visa exemption they force you to extend 30 days extension first. So how about dtv?Can extend 60 days visit family or not?
Summary so far
The DTV visa is a long-term visa allowing stays of up to 180 days per entry. Unlike the tourist visa, which may permit a 60-day family visit extension, the DTV does not support this extension concurrently. To apply for a family visit extension, one must first cancel the DTV visa, as only one visa can be active at a time. Therefore, a DTV visa holder cannot directly apply for a family visit extension after 6 months.

the DTV is a 5 year visa with a stamped stay period 180 days you will need to update or leave the country to get a new stamp. family extension very unlikely or not possible

Incognia Sentante when it used after a visa exemption its a family extension 60 days. it’s being added onto the visa exemption. With the DTV you can extend another 180 days by leaving the country and coming back. The family extension can be used at the end of the visa.

No. DTV is a 5 year visa. Every time you enter Thailand you get stamped in during the 5 years you get stamped in for 180 days. In theory you can get a 180 extension on each entry but it may be easier just to leave and re-enter

Incognia Sentante Some Immigration Offices will not issue a Visit Thai Family extension unless an extension for the reason the visa was issued has been taken first and others will only issue one if the original visa was a Non-O based on cisiting Thai family (i.e. marriage or having aThai child).

Incognia Sentante You cannot be in Thailand on two visas concurrently. You would need to cancel the DTV before applying for the visit family extension.

Stephen Howell the Visit Thai Familiy extension is just that, an extension of stay not a visa ;)
