Can South African passport holders extend their 30-day visa exempt to stay in Thailand for 60 days, and what documents are required for the extension?

Hi All,

My Mother is a South African passport holder and is coming to visit me here in Phuket. She is arriving on the 1 Nov and leaving the 2 January. Now I know that we can extend the 30 day visa at immigration so she can then stay for 60 days. She will need another extension to allow her to stay here until the 2 January.

Can a 30 day visa exempt be extended twice or only once for South Africans?

What documents do we need to take to immigration to extend the 30 days?

Thank you in advance.
