I am already in Thailand, since almost 5 months, extending for 30 days tomorow. Going to get my next tourist visa probably in Kota Bharu, Malaysia.

What country are you going to apply for your visa in?

If you do it in your home country before you leave you might be eligible for a multiple entry tourist visa.

, I believe that you heard wrong ;)

There is no 6 months in a year rule about being in thailand, in fact there's no rule about the how long you can stay here during any length of time.

Yes, just heard that sone people as been refused at the Thai border from Penang because the were in Thailand for 6 months.
