Uk Visa-exempt entry then DTV

Hi all!

I am flying to Thailand in January from UK

I am a VA and have one signed client… I want to have at least 3 clients before applying for my DTV so I have a stronger case built.

so coming up with a plan B just in case…

Is it common to for people on the

60days entry and then fly out to apply for my DTV!?

OR is this going to affect my visa getting approved

Be kind x

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether it's feasible to enter Thailand visa-exempt (60-day visa exemption) and then travel to another country to apply for a DTV (Digital Work Visa) while establishing a stronger case for approval by securing multiple clients. Responses clarified that UK passport holders cannot use a visa on arrival and emphasized the distinction between visa exemption and visa waiver, confirming that applying for the DTV must be done outside of Thailand.

You will not be arriving on a visa on arrival as a UK passport holder. This basic misunderstanding tells me you have done limited research into your travels. Please do some serious reading and then come back with your questions.

That's NOT a visa on arrival, which in fact is not available for UK citizens. You're talking about a visa waiver/visa exemption.

Entering first on that and then going out to apply for the DTV wouldn't matter, just remember you CAN'T apply from within Thailand.

Will you go back to the UK to apply or would you try to get it at a neighboring country?
