ORIGINAL POSTER
I have got dtv visa approval from Indonesia today but i am in Thailand with tourist visa after leaving Indonesia a few days ago. My question is whether I have to go back to Indonesia and enter Thailand with dtv visa or i can go to other neighboring countries and come back to Thailand. Lets me know. Your advice will be helpful. I don’t want to go back to Indonesia again.

Bad so start your Thai experience by not respecting the rules

Just wondering on current processing times, what day did you apply?

Why did you leave Indonesia before receiving confirmation of your DTV being approved?🤔

Alot of people do. Why not?

They can easily catch you out and could refuse entry to Thailand on your DTV for not following the rules of application. The new TDAC will easily show them, you broke the rules, now they have started to ask people well into the process for proof you are still in the country of application, if you have left, the DTV is likely to be declined and B10,000 lost. You might get luck but clearly they are setting new traps for a few rule breakers, anyway each to his own but don’t coming crying on the thread if that scenario plays out.

Naaah. It's true that it's against the rules and it could have get denied instead of ganted, but once it's granted, it's safe.

dont go poipet border, its known for troubles so i wouldnt be surprised if they compare your dtv approval date to your indonesian exit stamp, and try to ask for bribe or something
