We want to leave the country and come back to get another stamp. Is it mandatory to be outside for some exact amount of time? Or we can just go back on the next day?
P.S. We are on DTV visa!
Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
For holders of a DTV visa, there is no specific mandatory duration required to be outside Thailand before returning for a stamp. While some land borders may have their own specific requirements that could necessitate a one or two-night stay in a neighboring country, generally, you can return the next day. It's advisable to use services that facilitate border crossings, as they can help ensure a hassle-free experience.
There is no amount of time you have to be out of the country
SOME land borders make you spend a night or two in the neighboring country before you can come back in to thailand but that's a border specific requirement
If you're bouncing by land use a service that takes people to the border and back in your area. Those services have it set up so their people can get out/back the same day without having any hassle
well, have to ask when i go, since i cant work from cambodia due to no highspeed internet in the hotel, or even sim available. Maybe its negotiable and depends what dtv category you are with
also to my point above , it’s not about Thai immigration it’s about the Laos immigration they don’t want people going across just getting a stamp, plus it’s a good way to inject some money into the country ……
my friend with no visa drove to vientiane for 3hours with his gf in january, no problem coming back. Anyway, Laos doesnt concern me, I will post later what happened for me
