Hello everyone ๐๐ป I was wondering if I can stay up to a year or even longer in Thailand and keep extending the tourist visa. Does anybody have an idea what the total will be for a 1 year stay? Thanks in advance โฎ๐

TLDR : Answer Summary
A standard 60-day tourist visa in Thailand can only be extended once for 30 days, totaling 90 days. To stay for a year, you would need to pursue other visa options such as a non-B visa (for work), a non-O visa (for marriage), or an ED visa (for studying). Alternatively, a multiple-entry tourist visa can allow for close to 270 days of stay with careful border hopping, but frequent use may lead to entry denial in the future.
90 DAY REPORTING RESOURCES / SERVICES
Use the trusted Thailand 90 Day Reporting Service to get your in-person report done and mailed to you for as low as 375 THB (even if the online system doesn't work for you).
For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
Using a multi entry tourist visa and extensions will get you the closest to what you want. On the end of the extension you border bounce for another 60 day stamp. You can do that like 4 times I think.
Eventually you will get a red stamp in your passport that says you enter too many times on a tourist visa which may deny your application for future tourist visas, and even if you have a tourist visa in your passport, it's up to the I/O to decide if he wants to stamp you in or not, it's not uncommon that they can deny your entry for using too many back to back tourist visas.
A 60 day tourist visa can only be extended ONE time for 30 days, giving a total of 90 days inside of Thailand.
You cannot stay for a year as a tourist.
You would need to get a job and a non-B visa, get married to a Thai person and get a non-O visa, or get an education visa by studying Thai language or Muay Thai and get an ED visa
Or purchase an elite visa which start at 600,000 baht.
