TLDR : Answer Summary
For a two-month stay in Thailand, it is advisable to obtain a single-entry tourist visa from the Thai consulate in your home country, as it provides a 60-day stay with the possibility of a 30-day extension, totaling 90 days. This option is likely more economical than the visa on arrival, which only allows for a 30-day stay followed by a potential extension.

I would wager a single entry tourist visa from the thai consulate in your country before you come here is cheaper than a 30 day extension 😮

So get that come in get stamped in for 60 days if you want to take the one 30 day extension even giving you 90 days..

which makes it even easier to apply for a tourist visa, it's done by the eVisa system
