TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice about entering Thailand multiple times in a short period and concerns over any potential immigration rules. Comments clarify that there are no strict limits on the number of entries for visa-exempt travelers; however, exceeding a certain number of entries could raise questions from immigration officials. Various travel suggestions are made regarding transportation to Koh Lipe.

Without visa it always was 2 entries by land and unlimited by air.

It seems those limits no longer exists, but that does not mean you can stay in Thailand unlimited without visa, by just do a borderrun every 2 months.

For some reason I do not understand, some people see it as a kind of challenge to stay as long as possible without paying for the proper visa.

As a regular tourist you will have no problems

I can understand your concern on this as some of the Thai consulate websites state only two entries per year on visa exempt but this doesn't appear to be the case in real life. Don't stress it unless you've had problems with immigration or have entered Thailand repeatedly

You’ll be fine visa wise but I’ve met lots of people with schedules like this and gets thrown out of the window after a couple of nights in Pattaya 😂😆enjoy yourself and go with the flow 👍

You’re gonna be tired😊

Is there a ferry from Phuket to Koh Lipe??? That’ll take a full day at least. Better fly to Hat Yai or Trang and take a van to Satun and from there the ferry to Koh Lipe.
Michael *******
Ferry to Krabi, then Koh Lipe not sure you can fly to hat yai from Phuket

@Erwin *******
There might be, but during monsoon it might not be possible and even when possible it might not be comfortable. Fly to Hat Yai indeed is much better.

Not at all , come and go as many times as you want .

No
Steve *******
No, there are no such rules. You can enter as many times as you want, as long as you're not using the visa exemption to live in Thailand long term

There is no technical limit on the number of times you can enter Thailand using visa exempt entries. Twice in a year isn’t going to raise any red flags for immigration.

They may question you on the 3rd or 10th entry. But as it’s up to the immigration officer no one can say precisely.

As you say, nobody can say precisely, a lot also depends on your history. If you had back to back visa exemptions in the previous year, even the first in a year can cause problems, but topic starter just shows normal tourist behaviour with a visit to Vietnam, so no problem at all.

no it doesn't
