Here's the story. Married to a Thai for 23 years. Divorced but still have marriage certificate. Ex would work with me. Have 2 adult daughters who both have their Thai ID cards. Can I get in? I need my golf fix!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster, married to a Thai for 23 years and now divorced, is seeking advice on re-entering Thailand, mentioning they have two adult daughters with Thai ID cards. Commenters discuss various visa options, noting challenges regarding entry due to the divorce status and age of the daughters, suggesting alternatives like the Non-O or OA visa if over 50, and mentioning the possibility of a family visit visa. Overall, there's a consensus that current entry may be complicated, and some joke about considering alternative destinations like Mexico for golf.

Darren Grist I wouldn't risk it. Could get you banned for lying on your application. Plus you made it public here.

You either have to wait when they will include Canada in STV program or get NON-B single visa for 3 months first and then apply to switch to NON-O in Thailand. You can PM me.

. I don't think he's intending to work! A non-B won't be much use!

. You can only get a non-B if you're intending to do business or buy a property and you've got to have invitation and commit minimum two million baht. The OP wants to come play golf, unless he's investing in a golf course, but I understand he and

that’s an awful lot of effort for a guy who wants to golf and enjoy the sun. Now is not the time for coming to Thailand. There are much easier locations

it is more easy than STV actually. These companies just employ you and send you all documents by DHL, so you can apply for NON-B and COE in your country. It takes no more than 3 weeks to prepare everything. But you have to be quarantined for 14 days.

they are also just about to re instate the tourist visa, 60 days. It was being discussed in parliament yesterday and is expected to be announced within the next few days. Scandinavian countries and Hong Kong/ Taiwan/ S Korea already hve it on their embassy websites and it will be extended to rest of the world soon.

you can enter Thailand just because you have Thai kids. I’m unmarried but have a Thai child and I’m allowed to enter.

If you also have divorce certificate so cannot use that way, recommend to do family visit visa refer to visit your daughter.

If your daughters are over 20 then you can’t use them as a way in. You state you’re divorced so you can’t use that route. That leaves you the elite route if you are younger than 50 (or even if you’re older) or the Non OA.

may have an impact but I doubt it. You apply fot the visa and CoE as an individual married to a Thai national and not as a couple.

. I don't think it would work. The O visa married to a Thai is intended so you can either visit or accompany your spouse to Thailand, not to get away from her. Children once they're 21 are no longer children.

yes but the idea is you are joining your Thai husband/wife in Thailand...if she's not there then I doubt the Thai Embassy would issue a COE but I could be wrong.

you should be OK then my mate did that for years married Thailand divorced UK. But will only get you into the country if you want to try and extend visa which i have just done. They required home visits photos talk with neighbours etc etc.

Though they did offer when i applied as had enough in bank to change to a retirement visa
