Hi all can someone tell me if I will have any trouble coming back in to Thailand ? I had a retirement visa last year and it’s just run out , I’m in Australia and haven’t had time to renew . I only want to come back in for 7 days at a time , until after Christmas when I plan to marry a Thai lady and then plan to get a marriage visa ?

You should be fine. But how many times is seven days at a a time?

And check with your airline to see if they will allow you to fly without a visa or departure flight from Thailand.

There's no explicit specified limit but that doesn't mean you can do it as many times as you like, they may question or deny you if you do it too much.

Some people like oil workers or people living in a nearby country do similar to your proposed pattern for a long time with no issues, others get questioned.

You should have the three required items- 20,000B in cash, hotel reservation, ticket out.

Paul Richardson your retirement visa allowed you to do the many seven day visits.

Its now a new ballgame for you. Your every three weeks entries most likely will prompt Thai Immigration to question your many stays.

iv been doing it for the last year on my retirement visa , so I hope it won’t be a problem as I just need more time to renew my retirement visa

Paul Richardson I don't see why your expiring retirement visa creates a problem.

I view your many ..every third week.... repeated seven days visits ...are the real potential problem causing Thai Immigration to question you.
